About Cross of Glory Church

Cross of Glory is an ELCA congregation serving a relatively diverse group of people in communities southwest of Chicago. We combine traditional Lutheran theology with a contemporary worship and an increasing commitment to our neighbors and community.

At Cross of Glory, we believe that God is up to something and is inviting all of us to be a part of it. And because God uses all of us, EVERYONE is welcome here. As a Reconciling in Christ congregation, we are very intentional about welcoming our LGBTQ+ siblings.

Our welcome extends to everyone, regardless of race, age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, economic status, legal record, life circumstance, or anything else that can divide people.

We believe that God created every single person with special gifts and talents to bless the world. So, we encourage everyone to use their gifts both during worship and every day. God’s love changes us by drawing us in and then sending us back out to make a difference in our communities and the world. We believe that in our world of fear and division, places like Cross of Glory are really needed.
